Narrative

As the Welding Technology program expands, it is essential that additional welding booths and fume extraction and exhausts are provided. Labor Market occupational data indicates that there is a 20% projected growth within the Welding occupations over the next five years, and RCC is the only college within the district that provides a welding technology program to serve our region. This proposal includes Welding Booths and exhaust installation for fume extraction. We anticipate increasing Welding enrollments by 1% in 2017-2018 and 2% in 2018-2019 with 2015-2016 data as the benchmark to measure. We are unable to enter percentages for this CTE proposal; therefore, per the Chancellor’s Office, zeros are being entered.
