Advanced manufacturing/robotics has been identified as an area of growth and employment in our region. Funding will support upgrading the lab to meet industry standards for training on programmable logic controllers, electrical and hydraulic trainers as well support professional development and curriculum revision. This program has been underfunded and the knowledge, skills and abilities needed from a potential graduate are transferrable across multiple industries.
