This project will fund a non-instructional coordination to support the Diesel/Clean Diesel Technology department and the Automotive Collision department at the Mather Center. The coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the administration and development of both programs. In the Diesel/Clean Diesel Technology department, the coordinator will revise existing curriculum to align with industry standards and increase internship placements. In the Automotive Collision department, the coordinator will develop new courses, revise existing courses and recruit employers for internships. The coordinator will also be responsible for connecting graduating students with industry partners for employment opportunities.
In addition, funding will be used to enhance the curriculum and upgrade the facility.
