Narrative

Construction Inspection Vitalization: The Construction Inspection Program will be redesigned to help address the supply/demand gap in LA County in occupations such as housing code enforcement, combination mechanical inspectors, building engineering, commercial and specialty inspectors. Funding will be used for curriculum enhancement, equipment, contracts with local municipalities for work-based learning and development of a virtual reality building model for virtual inspections. The program would be implemented in three phases; Year 1 = Industry Credentials, Year 2 = Mapping to occupations and work-based learning, and Year 3 = Capacity Building/Outreach.
