$65,558: This proposal is for the development of a certificate in Advanced Manufacturing (to be followed with an application for a degree). This is a high-demand, high-wage area of employment. The demand for employees with the skills for an advanced electronics technician specifically trained for the needs of advanced manufacturing (i.e., robotics maintenance and repair). These skills are sought in a variety of industries – environments where repair and maintenance of electro-mechanical machinery, assembly lines, robotic arms/mechanisms, etc.). This funding will pay for release time over 2 semesters to develop courses and test labs in this new concentration. It also pays for an assistant in the lab and new equipment for the curriculum
