Narrative

The college will revitalize the Forklift, Logistics, Operations, and Warehouse (F.L.O.W.) program by developing a non-credit work readiness curriculum, upgrading equipment, and renovating a space on campus in order to operate the program in-house. Although this program was developed under the 094500 TOP code, the occupations for which it prepares students are more appropriately linked to the Logistics and Material Transportation (051000) TOP. The college will utilize CTE Data Unlocked assistance to remedy this situation. Up to this point, the program has relied on community partners to provide training space. To operate the program on a consistent basis, the training must take place on campus. Strong Workforce funds will be used to compensate faculty for curriculum development, renovate space on campus for forklift training, and purchase training materials. Additionally, a professional expert will be compensated to provide professional development training while the college's non-credit curriculum is being developed.
